Lockdown - A Black Phase of Middle-Class Family
Last year due to
the corona pandemic, we experienced a new phase of our life. We never expected
that thing, but it happens, and it gave all of us a new way to think about our
life. Yes, I am talking about that period which was called
"Lockdown".
We all had very
tough time in previous year. In 2020, where the entire world was battling with
the corona pandemic, Government was also trying to save people's lives. At a
point the number of corona cases were increasing rapidly. For the people's sake
and for their safety the central government had announced a complete lockdown.
The word
"Lockdown" was very new to everyone. When our prime minister Mr.
Narendra Modi Ji announced the lockdown, everyone was watching the news on T.V.
After hearing about the lockdown all were shocked. The people who were related
to rich families were enjoying the lockdown with their families as they were
enjoying holidays. But the people who were related to middle-class families and
below, we’re thinking about to survive, their job, salary, investment, and
debt. They were thinking about their children's meals, school fees, house rent,
and many things.
The lockdown
was announced on 22 March 2020 when most working people were waiting for their upcoming
salary. The middle-class family could not even think to enjoy those days
without money. The ladies of those families were not planning to make new
dishes like others due to lack of money.
The poor
families were getting the food which was provided by government. Apart from the
rich families were enjoying because of their bank balance but the middle-class
families were worrying about their job, salary or struggling to get a new job,
new sources of income and whole year this situation continued and after the
lockdown they are still struggling because many of them have lost their jobs.
Although situation is not good for them so far. There is no one to help them.
While the government also does not have any plan for them nor relief fund.
Basically, we
can say that lockdown directly impacted middle class family a lot. Most people
suffered just because of they lost their job or shut down of business due to
lockdown.
But being from
middle class family I can say that we have a very special power in us that we
never lose hope. We always live our life hopefully.
