Life Being happy is a sure-fire way to lengthen your life, and believe me when I say that no one in the world can make you as happy as you can make yourself. Period! Like all other emotions, happiness is a feeling that you inhabit and that varies through time. You cannot acquire happiness. Today's environment is one that is characterized by stress and high expectations on both a personal and professional level. And we never once stop to consider whether we are happy or merely compromising while doing things that please those around us.

 

It is fair to say that we are living the life of someone else and not ours. Life is so short and, most importantly, uncertain. What is in store tomorrow? Nobody knows. So, why do we want to please people around us, especially when we are not happy? I suppose it's time we did what makes us feel good, rather than what other people want from us.

 

There are many reasons to make those around you happy, but can you think of a few reasons why you should be happy in the first place? I am sure not many people would even understand the exact meaning of this statement. For many people, being happy means ordering food and binge-watching TV, or buying presents for their loved ones, or partying with friends. But all these are pleasures and not exactly happiness. These pleasures would convert into happiness if you were completely involved in what you were doing. Just doing it because it is the way life goes on, is not termed as happiness, rather it is just you fulfilling an expectation of what people want from you?

 

People always complain about not being satisfied with their lives or the way they can make themselves happy. There is always this question in the mind: how can I make myself happy without hurting others? If you also feel the same, we are here for your rescue. Everyone faces struggles and challenges in their lives, and nobody expects you to be perfect and keep a smile on your face. Don’t be fake when you are sad. If you are sad, show it to the world and move on. Faking happiness can become a habit, and then you won’t feel any difference between when you are trying to be happy and when you actually are happy.

 

E Stop Whining – Putting an end to your whining and comparisons is the best thing you can do for yourself. You don't have to or can't pretend to be someone else, and keep in mind that you can't please everyone. Simply take each stage of life as it comes and savour every moment, good and sorrowful.

The most crucial component of life is how you control and elevate your mood without giving too much thought to what other people think. Every person perceives things and people in their lives in a unique way. One person's solution might not be suitable for another. Therefore, you ought to experiment with various things that might make you feel content and appreciated. Yes, there is no doubt that the one thing that can truly make you happy for the rest of your life is the love you have for yourself. However, only you and no one else can decide whether you want to be happy or miserable.

And keep in mind, if avoiding expectations is not possible, consider creating realistic expectations instead. Talk about it with everyone who means the world to you, clearly and loudly.
